Waking Up

Playing as Ellie, start by exploring your house and packing your things. You need to get your jacket, found on the back of your chair, and the knife by the door.

The first thing you do is follow Jesse through the allotments to the gate. Take your time here to soak up the details - listening to any conversations along the way.

To progress, meet Jesse at the gate.

After you go through the gate, you arrive at the town proper, at a crossroads.

If you go left, you can get the Seismicayala Trading Card from the town board on the outside of the building.

Before progressing, exploring the main street. On the right you can grab some crafting supplies from outside the blacksmith.

Continue on this far right side to find the Volunteer Request Artefact at the end.

Enter the tavern at the end of the street and go through to the other side of the bar for a cutscene.

After the cutscene and collecting the sandwich, don't go outside just yet. Continue along to get The Keene Twins Trading Card, next to the dartboard.

Continue outside. Before the objective, grab the crafting parts from the end of the road. You'll get plenty of these throughout the game, but it's worth taking the time to grab them as you go - they all add up to allow you to unlock useful upgrades.

What follows is a snowball fight. This is a tutorial for the game's combat - it doesn't matter whether you win or lose.

Once done, head to the stables for a cutscene.

Time for a switch of character now - to The Overlook with Abby.
