The Last of Us Part 2 - The Overlook: All items and how to explore every area
How to complete the Abby chapter and find everything along the way.
The Last of Us 2 switches to Abby in The Overlook very close to the start of the game following the Waking Up chapter as Ellie.
This section gives you your first taste of combat against infected, as well as some Artefacts to find as you explore some snow-covered suburbs.

The Overlook
This section introduces two new characters - Abby and Owen.
Follow Owen, learning some new controls as you go, until you're exploring solo.
It's linear from here, and you'll soon you'll come to an enclosed area of bodies, and after that, your first infected.
You learn you can fight by letting them come to you, pressing L1 to dodge, then meleeing them. Since you don't have many bullets, this is the best way to tackle the others that follow.
The flow is - wait until they are about to attack, press L1, then tap Square to melee them. You need to do this twice for every infected to defeat them. Two will also appear at once, but you should still be able to dodge and melee them one after another without being overwhelmed.
Next, to enter the house, climb the bins outside.
To progress through this main room, follow the wires on the left, which require you to go prone (hold Circle). You need to shoot an infected along the way.
When back outside again, jump through the window of the house to continue exploring inside.
There is some ammo here, as well as an Artefact to grab from the table.
Continue exploring to find a Med Kit in the room past the stairs.
Go back outside and continue going to another boarded up house. Squeeze through the gap and you'll learn how to listen and stealth kill infected. This is the most effective way to take down any enemy - so use it at every opportunity.
There is some ammo in the right-most bedroom, so grab that before going downstairs.
Stay crouched as you move between the sofas here for a stealth kill.
Another infected will come in, so take care of them. There is a Med Kit in the kitchen if you need it, then head outside through the garage.
Vault over the gate and crouch round the car, using it as cover to kill the next infected.
There are three more now after the truck. Hold R1 to listen and see their locations. We found it easier to go along the right side.
The middle infected will come back and forth, so wait until it's back is turned before taking it down. You then need to go prone to go underneath the parked vehicles.
Continue going to the horse tracks, ending this section.
The action now switches back to Ellie and Dina on Patrol.
