The EGTV Show - Episode 12

BioShock, Assassin's Creed, FIFA.

For the latest Eurogamer TV Show, our cameras plot a harrowing course through the canapé mountains and spare pillows of New York, Paris and Barcelona, in what content management systems are already calling "egtvshow_episode12". The things we put ourselves through.

First up we travelled to New York to play BioShock, and chat to Irrational Games' Ken Levine about why he's so lovely. Or his game is. Levine welcomes us to Rapture, an underwater city in a bit of a state. Our genetic code rewritten (chest hair thankfully intact), we use telekinesis to burn teddy bears, and then face off with Big Daddies to get to Little Sisters. "Harvest." See what Levine has to say, and check out direct-feed footage of the game ahead of its August release.

And see why he tells us he's "a total slut".

Then it's off to Barcelona to watch Ronaldinho, Miroslav Klose and others kick some balls while clad in spandex. Yes, EA invited us along to its motion-capture session in Spain to show us what happens when expensive men come together and computers watch. If you've ever wondered what goes into the way Rooney's leg bends out of your frame buffer, and what makes "good" motion-capture, this ought to make interesting viewing. We even get to chat with Ronaldinho. In Spanish.

With that out of the way, it's off to scurry around beneath the streets of Paris at UbiDays, where we get to see Free Radical's Haze, the new Splinter Cell game, EndWar, and Assassin's Creed. Or, rather, Jade Raymond, since the game - now dated for November worldwide - was only shown in trailer form.

There's stacks of direct-feed footage from the games involved, exclusive chats with the people involved, and even some comedy dubbing.

All this in Episode 12 of the Eurogamer TV Show.
