Story of Seasons Seaside Cottage: How to unlock the seaside cottage in Friends of Mineral Town explained

It's free real estate!

The Seaside Cottage is one of three extra houses that you can unlock or purchase in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

These extra houses act exactly like the farmhouse, allowing you to check the calendar and sleep in a bed, with the Seaside Cottage having the added bonuses of being by the beach.

In the original GBA version of Friends of Mineral Town, the Seaside Cottage could only be unlocked if you managed to earn 50 connection stars by linking the game to Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life on the GameCube.

How to unlock the Seaside Cottage in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town

To unlock the Seaside Cottage in Friends of Mineral Town you need to sacrifice 150 gifts to the Harvest Goddess.

This means that for 150 days, that's every day for five seasons, you need to visit The Spring and throw a gift into the water. Admittedly, this is a very long time, but, if you keep at it, you'll eventually earn your free real estate.

Once you've reached the 150 gift milestone, the Harvest Goddess will tell you that, in thanks for your devotion, she's built you a little house on Mineral Beach. The house will be available to you the moment you've read this message, so head down to the beach to check out your new home.

The Seaside Cottage is located on a pontoon at the southern end of Mineral Beach.

Inside you'll find a table, clock, calendar, diary, bed and a funky painting. The bed will allow you to stay the night in the cottage and you'll wake up there the next day.

It's important to note that while you can stay the night in the cottage, your family can not, which means that it's impossible to permanently change your main home. The Seaside Cottage is useful, however, if you need an overnight break from your farm.
