Sony's PS3 Network plans

Launch and beyond.

Sony has let fly plans for future additions to its online service this afternoon, highlighting what's in store for us at the end of this month and throughout April.

Downloadable games available to play from day one will be bite-sized titles Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Blast Factor, Lemmings, and Gran Turismo HD Concept.

Those following in late March and onwards are Super Rub a Dub, flOw, Go! Puzzle and Go! Sudoku.

All of these will be introduced a knock down rate, an offer that's running until 23rd May.

You Eurogamers that are after a bit of play-testing can look forward to seven new demos this weekend, all of which will be free; choosing between Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Formula One Championship Edition, Ridge Racer 7, Genji: Days of the Blade, Lemmings, and Blast Factor.

If you're one of those planning to buy Ridge Racer or Genji you'll be treated to new downloadable content this weekend, as will owners for Resistance and MotorStorm whose new bits and bobs will arrive in April and May.

All of this lot will be available from the PlayStation Store, provided you've hooked your console up to your broadband connection.

Downloadable games will range from free to GBP 9.99, so make sure you keep an eye on the price tag.

You'll also be able to use the PlayStation Network to play your friends at your favourite games, splatting mud in their faces in MotorStorm, or killing them to death in Resistance: Fall of Man. And, unlike another service that we can't say for fear of bias accusations, it will be completely free.
