Snakeball for PSN in July

Plus more Stardust details.

Sony has revealed details of Snakeball, which is set to launch exclusively on PlayStation Network this July.

Sounding a bit like the mobile phone game Snake, Snakeball involves zooming around a flashy disco floor collecting coloured balls to score points.

Meanwhile, other "snakeballers" will be trying to smack you with their tails and weapons.

Snakeball will apparently offer support for the PlayStation Eye USB camera, which obviously hasn't launched yet, and, as well as a single-player "grow as long as possible" mode and an arena-based Challenge offering, will offer eight-player support over the ever-controversial Internet.

Look out for that in July, or look at screenshots now.

The game was unveiled on Three Speech yesterday afternoon, which was the first we'd heard of it. Then again, our ears are bunged up as we sleep on our face.

Super Stardust HD, due out on 15th June, also popped its head up there, along with screenshots.

As you may remember, it's a shoot-'em-up about busting up asteroids and then avoiding the debris, and indeed the on-screen enemies trying to do you a mischief.

As well as a single-player mode, it will offer a two-player co-operative option and global online rankings.

Look out for more on both of those closer to release.
