Ratings board lists EA's Project Red

New Syndicate game on the way?

An EA title called Project Red has shown up in the public database for Australia's OFLC ratings board.

The name brings to mind the mysterious Project RedLime title we first heard Swedish developer (and EA subsidiary) Starbreeze was working on back in early 2008. That game was described as "an incredibly innovative take on a classic property" in an EA press release.

Starbreeze was seen registering a trio of Syndicate-related trademarks just last month, suggesting that this newly-rated project could be a remake of the mid-'90s strategy series.

The listing describes Project Red as a game with "strong violence" that has received an MA 15+ rating from the Australian ratings board.
