Pokémon Go Alomomola counters, weaknesses and moveset explained

Everything you need to know about the caring fish Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Alomomola, the Gen 5 water-type Pokémon whose name is annoying to spell, likes to make appearances in raids in Pokémon Go.

Capturing Alomomola will help you complete your Kalos Pokédex and, if you're lucky, you might even encounter its shiny version.

Alomomola is a three-star raid boss, so it's a good idea to know its counters and weaknesses before the battling it. Don't forget that, thanks to Remote Raid Passes, you can complete raids at home!

If, however, you're wanting to catch an Alomomola for the Valentine's Day Collection Challenge, then you might find catching via its dedicated field research task easier.

Everything you need to know about Alomomola

Alomomola was released as part of the Valentine's Day 2020 event in Pokémon Go, alongside fellow Gen 5 Pokémon, Audino.

Alomomola was inspired by a number of different fish. It's body resembles that of an ocean sunfish and the fact it can wrap itself in a special membrane may be inspired by the parrotfish. Some species of the parrotfish have the ability to create a mucus before they sleep, which hides its scent and, in doing so, protect the fish from nearby predators.

Good luck defeating Alomomola in Pokémon Go!
