Over 100 Wii Ware proposals

Says blushing Iwata.

Nintendo's upcoming Wii Software service (Wii Ware in Japan/USA) is already proving very popular with developers, according to company president Satoru Iwata.

"We've already received proposals for over 100 titles from software development companies," Iwata said during a fun-filled press conference this week, according to a Kyoto Shimbun report translated by IGN.

"We've made a platform for developing software at low cost, and would like to offer a new business chance based around a battle of ideas," he added. Early battlers include, er, Pokemon Farm, Dr Mario, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Bomberman.

Oh well, we're sure there will be more interesting games to look forward to when Wii Software launches - which should happen sometime in early 2008.
