Simulation shooter series continues.

Codemasters has named the next game in the Operation Flashpoint series.

It's called Red River, and will be released in 2011.

The news comes from The Official Xbox Magazine (reported by CVG), which describes the game as "tighter" and "more focused" than predecessor Dragon Rising.

Little is known about the simulation shooter at this point, save for it's being developed by Codemasters' Southam studio.

Last week Codemasters' senior vice president of production Jamie MacDonald confirmed new Operation Flashpoint, DiRT and Race Driver: GRID games were in production.

2009's Dragon Rising, released last year, was a rock hard military simulation shooter. It scored a solid 7/10 in Eurogamer's review.

Latest in the successful shooter series.
