PSP gets Dynasty Warriors for launch

Sony’s handheld gets Chinese men hitting each other with sticks and elephants.

Koei will chuck its fat into PSP’s launch fire, so to speak, by backing the release of Sony’s portable in Japan on December 12.

There are still a number of unannounced PSP launch games. Sony went public with a figure of 12 titles on day one and 21 before the end of the year, but thus far only Minna no Golf Portable from SCEI and Tiger Woods PGA Tour and Need for Speed Underground Rivals from EA have been confirmed for the actual launch slot. Dynasty Warriors brings the definites to four.

Dynasty Warriors is the long-running action series from Koei which sees heroes and villains from feudal China go toe to toe in massive, free-roaming brawls for territory and the obligatory honour of it all. Money and power also feature fairly heavily.

No one’s seen the PSP version as yet, but we’ve bring you a look as soon as we get it.
