Eidos announces Game Stars line-up

With Game Stars Live set to open its doors tomorrow, a number of big publishers have finally announced which games they're giving you lot the chance to play in the vast halls of Docklands' ExCeL centre. Eidos for example.

What do Lara's masters have in store for you then? Well, for a start there's ShellShock: 'Nam 67, the PS2 and Xbox based Vietnam shooter due out in Europe this September - and developed by Killzone types Guerrilla Games. But, um, you probably expected us to point that one out.

Perhaps more interesting is Eidos' planned multiplayer tournament for Crash 'n' Burn, its little-heard-of Burnout-ish racing game in development at Climax. If you fancy winning £500 in cash and being commentated on by some chap off Talk Sport, Crash 'n' Burn is apparently where to go.

Another high profile game on display - and one we're very keen to clap eyes on, for obvious reasons - is Beautiful Game Studios' Championship Manager 5 for the PC. It's due out in October, but we've still yet to sit down and play it to any degree, and we're definitely curious to see how far BGS has managed to bring the game in the short space of time since management sim masters Sports Interactive left the franchise and went off to work on its own Football Manager series.

Elsewhere, you can also expect to see Snowblind (PS2, Xbox), the game that was originally known as Deus Ex: Clan Wars or something similar, Imperial Glory (PC) from Pyro Studios, the chaps behind the Commandos series, Get On Da Mic (PS2), some sort of urban rap-'em-up, and Eidos' newly signed LEGO Star Wars titles, based on all three prequels and due out in April next year ahead of Revenge of the Sith's cinematic bow in May.

So, if any of that interests you, Eidos will be on stand D3.
