Katamari PC desktop toy

Cue roll-licking praise.

As those of you who lament my continued employment often note (somewhat perilously given that I have access to the Accounts Management page), we like loud and silly things over here. Imagine our delight this morning, then, when we woke up to be greeted with news of a downloadable Katamari desktop toy from Namco?

Sadly it's probably best described as "annoying", but the novelty's enough to keep you going for a few minutes as the prince rolls the katamari around your screen making popping noises – particularly given that you can find presents on the website and stick them on his face.

However, it is a good excuse for us to point you in the direction of the Japanese Katamari Damacy site instead, which is a bit less Flash-tastic and has all sorts of fun things on it. We're particularly fond of the wallpapers page. You can tell we love a game when we start linking official websites, I guess.

We Love Katamari, the sequel-which-isn't-really-a-sequel, is due out from EA/Namco in Europe early next year, having just popped up in the USA recently. Our review of the US version will be up soon. Yeah, so we already did the Japanese one? Wanna fight about it?
