TimeSplitters 3 named

The future's bright. The future's... 'perfect'.

Electronic Arts has revealed the title of the next TimeSplitters game in its quarterly conference call this week, having announced a deal to publish it earlier in the year.

"TimeSplitters: Future Perfect" is expected to appear on major console formats (most likely PS2, Xbox and GameCube) within EA's next financial year, which ends on March 31st 2005.

EA representatives were quick to point out that the company has yet to formally announce the title of the third game, but "TimeSplitters: Future Perfect" was definitely mentioned alongside the likes of GoldenEye, Lord of the Rings and Burnout 3.

Although EA announced that Free Radical's third TimeSplitters title would appear under the EA Partners banner as long ago as January, virtually no details of the title have made it into the open yet - and no screenshots either.

However, if EA does plan to get the game out within the next financial year, E3 2004 would seem like the game's most obvious opportunity for high profile trade exposure. EA has yet to confirm its complete line-up for the show, but has promised various announcements in the run-up to May 12th when the show opens.
