Maxx Payne sues Rockstar and friends

"Fight you for it."

Retired professional wrestler Maxx Payne, real name Darryl Peterson, has filed suit against Rockstar, 3D Realms, Gathering and Remedy in a US court for, you guessed it, misuse of the name "Max Payne". According to Darryl, the fact that there's one less X in there doesn't matter a jot, as he introduced the Payne persona and various connotations in 1988, and subsequently used it in the wrestling arena, as well as in commercials, voice overs and movies.

Nobody from any of the accused companies had anything to say about the suit, but Payne told The Salt Lake Tribune "They stole something from me that I'm not going to give up."
