Hudson gets its remakes on

"New" GameCube titles in time for Famicom's birthday.

We've heard via GamerFeed that Veteran developer Hudson is remaking a few of its old classics to celebrate the Famicom's 20th anniversary, to be published in Japan by Konami on GameCube at a budget price of 3200 Yen.

The first games to be reconstructed include Lode Runner and Star Soldier, both of which will feature a combination of 2D and 3D visuals. Lode Runner specifically will contain over 50 stages, a map editor and remixed music. Both games will be released on July 10th.

It is apparently Hudson's intention to eventually release six of these remakes, but it's not yet clear whether Konami intends to bring the games Westwards.
