Konami took the opportunity to announce the PC port of Silent Hill 3 at this year's ECTS [and not E3 as the poor, tired and unloved Martin originally typed! -Ed]. The same team behind the PS2 original is behind the porting process, ensuring the game benefits from the opportunities PC hardware offers. The game will be getting a visual overhaul with far higher resolution graphics and textures, and players will now be able to save their progress at any time. Silent Hill 3 will be making its way onto PCs in October, and on a DVD no less - thank goodness at least one publisher seems to be catching on.
