Sega is preparing two new games in the Shining Force strategy-RPG series, according to a teaser site which sprang up earlier this week. "Up ahead lies a new Sega RPG," it reads on the left, as we look past a sign with a dragon on it, down a bendy road and over the hills towards the towers of a shiny castle in the distance.
Along the bottom, you can see the logos for Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon (out on GBA in Europe this week from THQ), and two new games - Shining Tears and, simply, Shining Force - while the middle of the teaser promises that the site proper will open this Friday, April 30th.
Even further down, you can see mention of Amusement Vision, which will obviously lead to speculation that the Monkey Ball and F-Zero GX developer is working on one or other of the titles (presumably split between console and handheld platforms).
Of course, with more details due out on April 30th, you'd imagine that an E3 showing isn't too far off. We contacted Sega Europe today for comment, but a spokesperson indicated that it was a Sega Japan issue and was unable to help. However, with Sega still tweaking its E3 plans even now, it's perfectly possible that the new Shining Force titles will feature - even though it seems that neither is among the "about six" new titles Sega previously mentioned.
