Halo co-creator's new project

MMO and TV tie-in on the way.

Alex Seropian, co-creator of Halo and one time boss of Bungie Studios, has revealed that his next project is a massively multiplayer online game that's being developed alongside a tie-in TV show.

X Quest is being developed for PS3 and Xbox 360 by Spectrum MediaWorks, the company that Seropian co-founded three years ago after leaving Bungie. The game is set in the not too distant future, and will be based around real world cutting edge technologies.

According to the Hollywood Reporter the TV show, which is being developed by Ron Howard's production company, will follow the adventures of two teams - each made up of seven members - as they spend a month completing special missions whilst inside a "space simulator".

X Quest players will be able to interact with them, with the game affecting what happens in the TV programme and vice versa. Seropian wants future series of the show to star X Quest players.

X Quest is due to launch in the first half of next year.
