Football Manager to be unveiled in Edinburgh

Games Festival-goers will be among the first to see the game in action at a public screening on August 13th, SI has announced.

Sports Interactive is planning to unveil Football Manager 2005 to the public for the first time at this year's Edinburgh International Games Festival, the Islington-based developer announced this week.

Top banana Miles Jacobson will present a 'screening' of the game at the Odeon cinema on Edinburgh's Lothian Road at 7pm on Friday, August 13th. "Attendees at the Festival will be the first to see what will hopefully be a big part of football fans' lives for many years to come," he said.

Tickets are available at the EIGF and Odeon websites, or via the ticket office on 0871 554 4007. They should cost £4 with a £3 concession rate for OAPs, students and under-14s.

Football Manager 2005, which is due out from Sega in late 2004, is the natural successor to last year's Championship Manager 4, developed by the same team under a different title after SI parted company with rights-holder Eidos Interactive. Eidos continues to develop the CM brand separately.
