Red Star, Raiden III coming

XS picks up old games.

Remember The Red Star, the comic book tie-in Acclaim was due to publish back in 2004? Well, it fell by the wayside when Acclaim went bust - which was a bit of a shame, since we thought it was shaping up rather nicely.

But now XS Games has picked up the rights to resurrect the title, according to Gamespot. It's due out for US PS2s this autumn, and there's also a possibility that an Xbox version could be on the way.

And that's not all - XS Games has also acquired the rights to Raiden III, a top down shooter from Taito. It's also out in the US later this year, for a bargain basement price.

There's no word on whether either title will make it to Europe as yet, but we'll keep you posted.
