European Pro Evo 5 PSP details

Official announcement, details and shots. It's due out this year.

Following the announcement in Japan of Winning Eleven 9: Ubiquitous Edition for PSP, Konami of Europe has officially confirmed that a European edition based on Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will be released this autumn and has released screenshots and details.

Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is already due on PS2, Xbox and PC in Q4.

The European PSP version will be "almost identical [to PES5 on consoles and PC] in terms of available international sides, with 57 national sides lining up alongside 136 club teams".

There will be several PSP-exclusive features including wireless play, with a running total of things like goals for, against, wins and so on keeping up with play.

There will be six different leagues, various cup competitions, and the facility to link-up with the PS2 version of PES5 to exchange data including teams created on PS2. Players will then be able to use these teams against other PSP users and swap teams with them too.

Earlier today we reported details of Winning Eleven 9: Ubiquitous Edition - the Japanese version of this game - and were told to expect full Match, League and Training modes as well as an Edit mode of some description.

For more details on that and talk of the way the game will control, which should be pertinent to anybody interested in PES5 PSP, be sure to check out that item.
