High quality CS: Source E3 movie released

See de_aztec as Valve's latest tech reckons it was meant to be. Available now at Eurofiles.

Valve has released a high quality, 1024x768 resolution version of the Counter-Strike: Source E3 trailer in its favoured Bink format (the same system as the Half-Life 2 vids). You should be able to download it via Steam, and we also have a mirror of the file on our BitTorrent-based file service Eurofiles, here.

For those who missed it the first time (or even if you didn't), this provides a decent look at what Valve has done with the ridiculously popular multiplayer Half-Life mod, focusing on the de_aztec map, now replete with a great temple next to one of the bomb sites, and all manner of Source Engine improvements like rippling, splashing water and Havok physics (watch the sniper's grenade rip into some barrels).

Valve has previously confirmed that Counter-Strike: Source is not what you might call Counter-Strike 2, and recently announced plans for a beta test of the game, which will be made open to owners of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero during the summer.
