SiN Episodes rescheduled

Now due in early 2006.

The first in Ritual's series of SiN Episodes - nuggets of first-person shooting delivered through Valve's Steam download-on-demand service - will be released in early 2006 rather than the rapidly disappearing autumn 2005 window the developer had previously stipulated.

That's what we've gathered from a quiet update to the game's official overview page, an update to which fan-site Ritualistic picked up on late last week.

Ritual's not actually announced any change or explained it, and you get the sense it's one of those "When it's done" kind of arrangements - which would make sense, since Ritual's previously said that it went with Steam because it saved it the trouble of messing around with a nagging publisher.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ritual's Richard Gray - better known as Levelord - was asked when we could expect to see it in shops. "Next Tuesday, sometime after lunch, maybe 13.00, maybe later," he said. Which'll be handy, because the Christmas TV will have run out by then. Or would be if he wasn't joking.
