Ubi brings Star Wars to PSP, DS

Lethal Alliance to form this year.

Ubisoft is planning to launch a new Star Wars action-adventure on DS and PSP worldwide this December.

Star Wars: Lethal Alliance (screenshots of the PSP version are doing the rounds) will put you in the twin roles of Twi'lek Rianna Saren and her security bot Zeeo.

Rianna's been hired by the Rebels to steal the Death Star plans, and you'll have to journey around various familiar places in between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, using Rianna's acrobatics and weaponry in conjunction with Zeeo's more defensive skills and slicing ability to succeed.

Locations you'll take in will include Coruscant, Tatooine (including Mos Eisley), the Death Star (perhaps she steals a visitor's guide), and new locations like Despayre, Danuta and Leia's dad's favourite Alderaan. You'll also get to meet up with Boba Fett, Kyle Katarn of Jedi Knight fame, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and various Imperial officers, Rodians, Quarren and stormtroopers - whom you'll be able to evade by using holographic disguises.

Both titles promise "collaborative" multiplay, and while they will be similar Ubisoft has nonetheless farmed them out to separate teams - Ubisoft Montreal is handling the PSP version, while Ubisoft Casablanca is on the DS case. We'll bring you more once many Bothans have died, etc.
