Pandora Tomorrow dated for PS2 and Cube, exclusive content announced

Ubisoft announces firm release dates for both, and extra incentive for owners of multiple formats to hold off for a little while...

Ubisoft has announced European release dates for the PS2 and GameCube versions of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and revealed that the titles will each benefit from exclusive content, and share a few others variations on the Xbox and PC code which was released at the end of March.

Although the dates are obviously subject to change, PS2 owners will be able to get their hands on Sam Fisher's latest on June 11th (a full week ahead of the current North American target, date-spotters), whilst Cube owners should scribble July 1st in their diaries.

As for the content - both versions will benefit from a new Indonesian jungle mission, post-mission stats and feedback, new paths through some of the missions and booby trap disabling, which is apparently similar to the lockpick mechanic in practice.

The format-specific changes will allow PS2 players to listen in on remote reports via the USB headset, receiving alarm warnings and personal comms directly (and enjoy the sight of dynamic torchlight - a first for the PS2, according to Ubi).

Cube owners will enjoy a degree of GBA connectivity, too, including eight GBA missions unlocked by completing the Cube version, and a slightly more exciting application of the little screen to allow remote control of in-game devices like keypad locks, turrets and PCs, and a radar-like layout of your surroundings.
