Desert Combat advances

Patch it up, soldier!

In the calm before the inevitable deluge of E3 news, we thought we'd take the opportunity to let you know that popular Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat has received an update, bringing the version number up to .35 (cheers to Errol for bringing it to our attention).

As well as adding an extra map to the mod, the patch adds realism to the weapons system by making weaponry more accurate when crouching or lying prone, new A-10 cluster bombs, a new Iraqi BRDM2 Spandrel tank killer and Iraqi anti-personnel mines and Stinger missiles.

We still haven't actually had a chance to try the mod out yet despite the installer residing on our hard drives for a couple of months now, but the general consensus seems to be that it's really quite good.
