Microsoft has announced a firm release date for the Limited Edition Crystal Xbox, which was announced earlier this year. As predicted, the console will launch next Friday on March 19th - a few days after the second anniversary of its European launch on March 14th, which rather unhelpfully falls on a Sunday this year.

The "crystal clear" Xbox package will feature the console you see just to the left and two crystal controllers, and should retail for 139 or 199 outside the UK. It certainly looks bloody lovely [if you say so -Ed], but you may have to rely on other outlets if you want to read first-hand opinions, as we somehow doubt Microsoft UK is in a position to give us one for free. Guys?

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. For more information, go here.
