50-hour marathon gamer dies

Exhaustion to blame.

Yet another gamer has died from exhaustion, after playing for over 50 hours continuously, according to Korean news publication, The Chosun Ilbo.

The 28 year-old man, who has been identified by his family name of Lee, died on Friday after playing 'games like Starcraft' for around 50 hours without sleep, in an internet café on Bokhyeon-dong, Buk-gu in Korea. Lee started early Wednesday morning, and collapsed on Friday, before being taken to hospital where he died within three hours from what was suspected to be an exhaustion-induced heart attack.

Lee was said to been fired from his job last month due to his frequent absences brought on by game addiction. Police say he had been coming to the PC café every day.
