Voodoo Nights for PC, 360

See Cold War dev's new project.

Cold War developer Mindware Studios has released some new screenshots of its next project - Voodoo Nights for PC and Xbox 360.

Billed as "a stylised action extravaganza," the game follows the adventures of renegade cops Jack and Samuel as they attempt to track down a deadly gang. An extra deadly gang, in fact, since they know how to use crazy voodoo magic should plain old guns and knives fail to do the trick. Luckily, so do Jack and Sam.

According to Mindware, Voodoo Nights is a "Buddy Game" so it's all about making the characters work together well - when one runs for shelter the other covers their back, for example. Or less conventionally, when one uses a levitation spell to expose a crim, the other takes the opportunity to gun the crim's face off.

You control one character directly and issue simple commands to the other (such as "go here", "attack him" or "cover me") and you can switch between the characters at any time.

There's a picture-in-picture feature so you can always see what your partner is up to, and something called DeadTime mode which lets you control your actions in slo-mo. We're also told to expect epic gunfights, big explosions, destructible environments and the very latest in rag doll physics.

There's no word on a release date as yet, but we'll keep you posted.
