Quantic Dream cans Infraworld

But Omikron 2's still on track.

The COO of Quantic Dream has revealed that Infraworld, its previously announced title for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, has been canned.

In an interview with German website Working-Title, Guillaume de Fondaumiere said: "Infraworld, at date, is cancelled. The concept did not appeal to publishers."

However, De Fondaumiere said that Omikron 2, which was announced at the same time as Infraworld, is still on track and is now titled Karma. But don't expect to see it on the shelves until 2009 - Quantic Dream is working on another as yet unnamed title first.

"We have a production set but I cannot divulge the name or details on the project," said De Fondaumiere.

"But it is an original franchise of ours, a game for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PSP and PC systems."

A sequel to Fahrenheit, maybe? De Fondaumiere declined to comment, but seeing as the first game proved so popular it's always a possibility...
