The Movies demo premieres

Click, leech, BAFTA.

Those of you intrigued by the premise of The Movies can finally find out what it's like for yourself by downloading a new playable demo.

In it, you get an introduction to the story mode, which teaches you how to build and manage different aspects of a movie studio.

However the best bit of the game is arguably the way that you can create your own movie shorts - something that's given it real legs over the Chrimbo period.

Since Activision published it last year, fans of the game have made all sorts of interesting things, details of which we'd share if we could get the blummin' website to load.

In any case, those of you who haven't tried it out yet can do so by downloading the demo from Eurofiles. It's 285MB.

And if that doesn't do the trick, you can always read our review.
