Top Trumps games on way

For PC, PS2 and DS.

Ageing UK playground favourite Top Trumps is on its way to PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and PC, after Ironstone Partners signed a deal with Winning Moves.

The card game, sold in sets based on everything from TV shows to sports cars, captured the hearts and pocket money of kids in the '70s and '80s, and Ironstone reckons it's time for a revival.

"Our track record working with high-value concepts in the gaming space and our award winning studio Rockpool Games, will ensure a great success for Winning moves," Boastfulness: 10'd managing director Paul Gouge.

It's not clear what the focus of the games will be, particularly, but Ironstone does say that it's going to work closely with Winning Moves to "create proprietary Top Trumps characters", and the curious among you can also check out some PC screenshots for more clues.
