Fast and Furious game coming

To PlayStation 2 and PSP.

Namco Bandai has announced that a game based on forthcoming movie The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is currently in development for PS2 and PSP.

Like the film, the game is based around Japan's underground drift racing scene, and you'll be able to hoon around Tokyo in hundreds of licensed cars, "pimping" them with more than 500 different body kits.

You can also expect boss races, "advanced rubber-band" AI and two multiplayer modes - two player splitscreen, plus online races for up to four opponents.

The game is being developed by UK studio Eutechnyx, whose previous credits include Big Mutha Truckers and, um, SRS: Street Racing Syndicate.

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is out this summer alongside the movie, which stars that weird kid out of American Gothic and a bloke who says lots of things like "If you ain't out of control, you ain't in control," according to the trailer.
