With Colin McRae Rally 04 currently screeching to a halt at a retailer near you, publisher Codemasters has decided to mark the day by releasing a multiplayer PC demo of the game via its website.

The demo consists of three of the game's 48 stages - Australia, Spain and Sweden - and supports up to eight players simultaneously over a network or online, in head-to-head or co-operative challenges. Oh, and you get to drive around in the Citroen Xsara, in case you're wondering.

Obviously the full version of Colin McRae Rally 04 includes lots of other bits and bobs that aren't in this one, but then if you own a PS2 or Xbox you probably already know that given that it's been out for many moons. It's still a top game though, PC fans.
