New Xbox Experience dated

Plus Metal Slug, Space Invaders for XBLA.

Microsoft's New Xbox Experience dashboard update will launch in 26 countries on 19th November.

Live and services bigwig John Schappert said as much during his Tokyo Game Show keynote address, which we're covering live at the time of writing.

Schappert also said that Xbox Live now has more than 14 million members.

Prior to that, he revealed that Metal Slug 7 and King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match from SNK Playmore are on their way to Xbox Live Arcade. The former boasts new weapons, missions, bosses and modes, but has no release date, while the other sounds like a port, and is due out in spring.

Before then, we'll be able to check out Space Invaders Extreme (jolly good on the DS and PSP) from Taito, and Arkanoid Live (thoroughly rubbish on the DS), both of which are out this winter. Microsoft also mentioned R-Type Dimensions, which we already knew about, saying it had two-player co-op on and offline, and lets you switch between 2D and 3D graphics at will.

Schappert also said that over 1000 games have been submitted to the XNA Community channel.
