New Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero, COD

Plus more Spider-Man. And Kung Fu Panda.

Activision has confirmed a raft of new titles are on the way in a conference call following the publication of its latest financial results.

They will include a new Call of Duty game for PS2, PS3, PC, Wii and Xbox 360. It's not known whether it'll be COD 5 or a spin-off, or when the game will be out.

Two more Guitar Hero games will be released by July, with another to follow in the autumn. Apparently there are big plans to expand the franchise, particularly in Europe.

There's a new Tony Hawk title coming too. The series got its face kicked in by EA's Skate at Christmas, so the new one is being developed a focus on innovation and consumer feedback in mind.

Another Spider-Man game is promised, along with a sequel to Ultimate Alliance. Both will be out this financial year, so probably in time for Christmas.

The new Bond game is coming along nicely, thank you. It's due to launch alongside the movie this autumn.

And finally there are two kiddies' games in development - Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2.

Activision made USD 284.9 million during the three months ended December 31st. Call of Duty 4 did awfully well, with more than 7 million copies shipped by the end of last year, while Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock made more money than any game worldwide across the year. The GH series has now made more than USD 1 billion.
