New PAL Releases Roundup - 08/05/09

Plants vs. Zombies, Broken Steel, more.

Plants vs. Zombies. There you go. See you next week.

Oh alright, you could also go for Fallout 3: Broken Steel. Kristan reckons it's a reasonably splendid mixture of gruelling battles with bonkers enemies, and important structural changes that wring more joy out of the endgame and levelling system. But he also thinks it's a bit cut-and-paste in too many places, which is why he only gave it 7/10.

Or you might fancy a bit of Space Invaders Extreme on Xbox Live Arcade, with its fancy-pants multicoloured scoring system and electronic soundtrack and effects. We'll hopefully have a review of that up today, if international sensation Ellie manages to beam her copy home from Germany. I've no idea why she's in Germany. It's not even work-related.

But really you're most likely to fancy a bit of Plants vs. Zombies. Every time I walk through the office at lunchtime (issuing punishments), I see it on at least one more screen. As Christian said when he 9/10ed it, it's tower defence without any of the lulls, and with more humour, and with Michael Jackson. And Zombonis. Ports to every platform imaginable can't come soon enough.
