New Leisure Suit Larry disrobed

Box Office Bust for PS3, 360 and PC.

Sierra has finally confirmed reports that it has a new Leisure Suit Larry game in production.

Called Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust, it's due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this autumn, and is in development at the UK's very own Team 17.

In it, "lovable loser" Larry is working for the summer at a film studio belonging to his uncle, who happens to be the original Larry.

He ends up having to uncover the identity of a mole from a rival film studio who is on the verge of selling dirty stories about his uncle's outfit to the papers.

And if Larry's working there then dirty stories are inevitable, since his reason for being is usually cack-handedly seducing women across a range of increasingly absurd scenarios.

Still, this one sounds a bit different to the adventure games of old, promising "open world sand box gameplay that includes exploration, platforming, racing and puzzle-solving to complete missions".

You will also be able to direct your own "Larry Feature", so watch out Paris Hilton.

Sierra has also revealed that the voice cast includes Jay Mohr (Last Comic Standing), Dave Attell (Insomniac), Shannon Elizabeth, Carmen Electra, Artie Lange (Mad TV), Patrick Warburton (Family Guy), Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Nikki Cox (Las Vegas), Peter Graves (Mission Impossible), Jane Lynch (The 40 Year Old Virgin), and Josh Keaton (The Spectacular Spider-Man) as the voice of Larry Loveage.

Plus, the reason we knew about the game in the first place was Howard Stern claiming he was to play someone called Big Al, so presumably he's in it.

Watch out for more on Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust as it reveals itself.
