Monster Hunter Rise release time in GMT, CEST, EST and PST, download size on PC explained

Up, up and away!

Monster Hunter Rise takes even greater strides to welcome in new players than 2017's World - and like World, sees a staggered release on PC after its debut on Switch.

There's plenty for both series veterans and newcomers - including the way you can explore biomes with wirebugs - as well as a list of wide-ranging weapon types you can use.

This page will cover the Monster Hunter Rise release times on PC in your region, as well as as the download size so you know what to expect beforehand.

When does Monster Hunter Rise release on PC? Monster Hunter Rise release time in UK / GMT, CEST, EST and PST explained

The Monster Hunter Rise release date is Wednesday, January 12th, with the same release time across all regions.

The Monster Hunter Rise release times are as follows for your region:

  • UK: 5pm (GMT)
  • Europe: 6pm (CEST)
  • East Coast US: 12pm (EST)
  • West Coast US: 9am (PST)

This means for those in Europe, you have to wait until the end of the working day before you can start downloading and playing. Great if you haven't got the day off work, but frustrating if hoped to start playing as soon as you wake up.

As well as our Monster Hunter Rise tips, learn about High Rank, ore locations, bone locations, weapon types, Insect Glaives and Kinsects, how to join friends in multiplayer, how to capture monsters and learn about wirebugs and great wirebugs. Meanwhile when it comes to individual quests, we have explainers of where to find a Well-done Steak and a Rock Lizard.

Monster Hunter Rise download size on PC explained

Monster Hunter Rise has a storage requirement for 23GB on PC, according to its Steam system requirements.

This is over double that for the Switch version - which weighs in at 10.3GB at the time of writing.

This, of course, can change post-release as updates as introduced - especially with the arrival of expansion Sunbreak later this year.
