Matsuura reveals Gaye music game

Marvin-inspired Chime follow-up unveiled.

PaRappa the Rapper creator Masaya Matsuura has announced a new music game based on sexually-charged crooner Marvin Gaye.

He's making the game - War is Not the Answer - for charity organisation One Big Game, according to GamesIndustry.biz. WINTA is in development for iPad and iPhone.

Price and release date haven't been revealed, but Masuura demonstrated the game during his keynote speech at the NLGD Festival of Games, currently ongoing in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

War is Not the Answer is a collaboration between Matsuura and Triangle Studios. Gameplay involves tapping areas of the screen as they are highlighted, corresponding roughly to a syllable of a Marvin Gaye song. Miss-time your tap and a horrible slow-down effect plays.

This is One Big Game's second announced project. The first was Zoe Mode's Chime, which Eurogamer reviewed back in February. The idea is that proceeds made from game sales go to charity.
