Mario Bros. 3 lands on PAL VC

Along with two friends.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is this week's Virtual Console headliner, offering you a chance to hop, fly and swim around the eight worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom in one of the NES' best games ever.

What's more, because it's a NES game, it isn't horrendously overpriced! It's only 500 Wii Points in fact. That's about GBP 3.50 or EUR 5.00. Have one less pint tonight and go home early - you won't regret it.

Also on Virtual Console in PAL territories this Friday is Blue's Journey, a 1990 NeoGeo title described as a colourful platformer in which "the small but heroic Blue" must "rid planet Raguy of evil" using a leaf whip. Like the other NeoGeo games, it's a hefty 900 Wii points.

Rounding things out is Power Golf, a 1989 TurboGrafx-16 game going for 600 Wii points, in which you can partake of stroke and match play and competition modes, applying power and spin in the correct proportions to put the ball in the hole.

Check out our Virtual Console Roundup tomorrow morning to see what we make of them all.
