Binacle is the headlining Pokémon for Sustainability Week - the current in-game event for Pokémon Go.
With the arrival of Binacle, you'll also be able to add it's evolution, Barbaracle, to your Gen 6 Pokédex.

How to get Binacle in the latest Pokémon Go event
While Binacle is available in the wild, they may, like previous Gen 6 Pokémon, be rather hard to find. Thankfully, there are a number of other ways to catch a Binacle during the event.
You can find Binacle during Sustainability Week event by:
- Finding them in the wild
- One-star raids
- Completing the field research task - 'Use 3 Golden Razz Berries to help catch Pokémon'
- Completing the 'Use an Incense' challenge in the third step of the Sustainability Week timed research quest
If you're having trouble finding Binacle in the wild, then your best chance of catching one is to either defeat it in a raid or complete the Sustainability Week timed research quest.
While Binacle will most likely continue to make appearances after the event ends, the distribution of new Pokémon continues to be hard to predict. For this reason, we highly suggest catching at least Binacle during Sustainability Week; this way you can have it as your Buddy and collect enough candy to evolve it into Barbaracle.
The Season of Legends is here! Current activities include the Luminous Legends X event, which introduces Gloomy, Spritzee and Swirlix, Xerneas and the Rainly Lure. We've also recently seen a level cap increase - including the addition of XL Candy, boosts to some XP sources and the addition of Platinum Medals.
Binacle evolution Barbaracle in Pokémon Go explained
If you want to evolve Binacle into Barbaracle in Pokémon Go, then you'll need to collect 50 Binacle Candy.
Both Binacle and Barbaracle are rock and water-type Pokémon in keeping with their barnacle inspiration.
If trained correctly, then Barbaracle could be a good choice for the Great League, as it would have a slight advantage over Skarmory, Alolan Marowak and Umbreon, which are popular choices for this league.
You're most likely, however, going to be catching these Pokémon to fill in your Pokédex, so make sure you catch a couple of Binacles before Sustainability Week ends!
