Gradius hits American VC

Plus two from TurboGrafx.

While Nintendo UK's been exciting us all with talk of times ahead, its US counterpart has been quietly boosting the ranks of Virtual Console titles with its usual Monday update.

It's a bit spartan this week, and there's no word on the delights of Mario World, Mario Kart 64 and Ocarina of Time supposedly due in Q1, but what there is for now, for US Wii shoppers, is Gradius on the NES (500 Wii points), and Soldier Blade and Dungeon Explorer on TurboGrafx (both 600 points).

In addition to single-player modes for all, Gradius supports two-player action, and Dungeon Explorer offers support for up to five if you can muster the pads.

Then again, US Wii owners might prefer to save their pennies for some of SEGA's titles, detailed elsewhere on the site where it's all Virtual Console, all the time at the moment.
