Surface Hub locations in Fortnite at a glance

While there are three Surface Hubs hidden across the Fortnite map, only two have scannable servers.

Here the locations of the two Surface Hubs for this challenge at a glance:

The Surface Hub locations in Fortnite.

It's important to remember that you only need to scan one server to complete this challenge, which means you only need to visit one Surface Hub.

Simply pick the location which suits your match plan best and ensure it's the first place you visit in the match. This will ensure you have enough time to both avoid the storm and hunt down some items.

Though we recommend avoiding the Stealthy Stronghold, because this is the home of The Predator and you may encounter players hunting down the powerful NPC boss to unlock its skin.

Hunter's Haven Surface Hub and server locations in Fortnite explained

To reach the Surface Hub in Hunter's Haven you need to enter one of the small houses on the western side of the settlement. Both of these houses contain stairwells which will take you down into the Surface Hub.

Both of these buildings will take you to the Surface Hub.

Once you're on the lowest floor of the Service Hub, you'll be able to easily spot the server on one of the balconies.

Stealthy Stronghold Surface Hub and server locations in Fortnite explained

The Surface Hub in the Stealthy Stronghold can be found within the largest, and central, ruins in this area.

The stairs to this hub can be quite hard to find, so make sure you stay on the lowest floor of the ruins and keep an eye out for a hole in the brickwork near one of the torches.

Within the hub, you'll want to head down to the lowest floor and then head into the small room near the unopenable double doors. Inside this room, you'll find the server.

Open the door to find the server.

We recommend avoiding the Surface Hub in the Stealthy Stronghold, because this area is also home to The Predator. This NPC is a powerful boss and killing it will also unlock it's skin, so you may encounter a high number of enemy players.

How to scan a server at a Surface Hub in Fortnite explained

Before you can scan a server in Fortnite, you need to decide which Surface Hub you wish to visit - the locations of which we've outlined above. We recommend avoiding the Stealthy Stronghold to prevent you from being killed by either The Predator or the players hunting this NPC boss down.

Once you've decided which Service Hub you want to visit, jump into a match and head to this location.

A Service Hub.

Since the Service Hubs are hidden deep underground, there'll be a few flights of stairs for you to descend. Due to this reason, it's a good idea to make exploring the Service Hub the first task you complete in the match to give you more time loot hunting and a better chance of avoiding the storm.

When you're inside the Service Hub, find the server and interact with it to complete the scanning.

After you've scanned the server, it's time to get back to the match! Before you leave the Service Hub, however, it's a good idea to hunt around for some loot - you never know what you might find.
