Fortnite new map additions in Season 5 explained
A look at the new locations you can explore in Season 5's map.
Fortnite's map has been updated with a number of new locations and changes with the arrival of Season 5 and new Season 5 Battle Pass skins.
This map reflects the theme of the map - Zero Point - which is situated in the very centre of the map, surrounded by new desert terrain, as well as a number of other new locations to find.
As with previous Chapter 2 seasons, you have to visit all of these locations in person before they reveal themselves on the map. But if you want to know exactly where you're going, this map page will come in handy.

Fortnite new map image and additions at a glance
Fortnite's Season 5 map has a major difference compared to previous seasons - a desert area situated in the centre, surrounding the Zero Point.
The new Season 5 map looks like this:

Within it are named locations, many of which only appear when you visit for the first time:
- Catty Corner
- Colossal Coliseum
- Coral Castle
- Craggy Cliffs
- Dirty Docks
- Holly Hedges
- Hunter's Haven
- Lazy Lake
- Misty Meadows
- Pleasant Park
- Retail Row
- Salty Towers
- Slurpy Swamp
- Stealthy Stronghold
- Steamy Stacks
- Sweaty Sands
- Weeping Woods
Note once you've done with these, there will be some locations left over to uncover. These are tied to specific landmarks, and once you found the landmark within that region, the surrounding greyed out areas will reveal themselves.

These locations will no doubt all feature in Challenges as part of the Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass over time - so best get used to them.
