Studying the Caretaker's footprints is one of the quests in Ariana Grande's questline in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8.
This quest will see you hunting down the Caretaker's footprints locations, so you can gather information about this boss monster for Ariana Grande.
Completing this quest for the first time will reward you with 30k XP, which will help you earn rewards from the Season 8 Battle Pass, and, if you repeat it, you'll still earn a small XP reward.
Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

It's important to note that these locations aren't 100% exact, but, if you place a marker on the map where the exclamation marks point, you'll find yourself very close to the footprints. Luckily, they're very easy to spot!
Remember - you only need to find two steps of footprints and, since your progress will carry over, you can easily divide this quest across two matches.
How to find the Caretaker's footprints quickly in Fortnite
When it comes to studying the Caretaker's footprints, we recommend visiting two footprint sets which are located close together - such as Lazy Lake and Catty Corner. Thankfully, nearly every set has another located close by, so you should be able to easily complete this mission before the match ends.
The footprints near the petrol station in Believer Beach, for example, are not far from the ones in Boney Burbs, which, funnily enough, are also located near a petrol station.
