Excitebike hits Virtual Console

Along with R-Type III, others.

Nintendo has added Excitebike to the UK Virtual Console to help promote this Friday's release of full Wii title Excite Truck (reviewed elsewhere on the site today).

Not that they have much to do with one another, although at 500 Wii points the former might sound appealing - providing you don't already own the NES Classics version on GBA.

Also on the Virtual Console in time for the weekend are Kirby's Adventure (NES, 500 points), New Adventure Island (TurboGrafx-16, 600 points) and R-Type III: 3rd Liahnina (SNES, 800 points).

Wii points, in case we haven't quite rammed it home by now, retail at GBP 14.99 for 2000, and can also be bought for slightly less directly through the Wii Shop.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. Read our policy.
