de Blob 2 supports 3D on PS3/360

Also due on DS and Wii in spring 2011.

THQ has announced that de Blob 2: The Underground will appear on DS, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 in spring 2011 and that the high-def versions will support 3D.

de Blob 2 sees players fighting to restore colour to Prisma City by bouncing around splashing paint everywhere - with various new tricks to help along the way.

You also get some assistance from robot sidekick Pinky, and in addition to a single-player campaign there's co-op and competitive multiplayer.

de Blob 2 is unlikely to be the only THQ game we hear about featuring 3D this week, too, as executive vice president of core games Danny Bilson told us on Saturday.

"For now it's fun and fun is good and interesting, but we're definitely experimenting and have a couple of projects in 3D that you'll see at the show," he revealed when we spoke to him and Tomonobu Itagaki about new action game Devil's Third.
