Borderlands 3 True Vault Hunter Mode explained

How to unlock True Vault Hunter Mode in Borderlands 3.

True Vault Hunter Mode is a new Playthrough Mode that you can unlock after completing the main story-line of Borderlands 3.

True Vault Hunter Mode is the hardest difficulty level for Borderlands 3 and, unlike Mayhem Mode, if you want to play through the game at this level of difficulty, you'll have to start right back at the beginning of the plot.

Thankfully, you can do this with your existing Vault Hunter, keeping all the loot you've earned, their current level and Guardian Rank.

True Vault Hunter Mode in Borderlands 3 explained

True Vault Hunter Mode is a Playthrough Mode that you unlock after completing the main story-line of Borderlands 3.

If you're looking for a new challenge, but want to continue playing Borderlands 3, then True Vault Hunter mode is for you. It will put you up against tougher enemies and promises far better loot.

If you're playing in a group, then the enemies will scale to the group leader.

Switching to True Vault Hunter Mode will put you right back at the beginning of the story-line. You will, however, still have all your equipment and stay at your current Vault Hunter and Guardian Rank.
